It's a rubbish adventure workshops
This workshop is a fun and interactive session designed to explain modern waste management in a fast-paced and engaging way. While primarily aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils, it has been adapted for Key Stage 3 and above in the past. The workshop incorporates scientific techniques and concepts such as sieving, air movement, and magnetism.
The session takes place in the visitors’ centre at the BDR Waste Treatment Facility in Manvers. Due to space limitations, each workshop is restricted to a maximum of 30 pupils.
Workshops run for 90 minutes. To ensure a smooth start, schools are advised to allow sufficient travel time to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Wherever possible, the workshop will be tailored to meet specific requirements. However, as the facility is an operational site, this may not always be feasible. Schools are encouraged to get in touch to discuss any specific needs via email.
